The Good News of Jesus Bible Study

Due to low growth rates in recent years, the Japanese church experienced over 1,000 individual church closures during the period from 2020 to 2023. To overcome this church growth barrier, Matthew 13:23 Ministries has initiated a laity-focused evangelism training program for the purpose of equipping the next generation of Japanese lay-missionaries and lay-evangelists.

  • Used in over 40 countries

  • Translated into 23 languages

Real Stories & Impact

  • Connecting Across Generations
“A 9-year-old (grade 3) student learned from the material, became so excited to do a Bible study, understood it well, and is now actively praying about who to invite!” — Pastor in Yamagata

  • Modern, Relevant & Engaging
“I love the modern front cover design—it appeals naturally to young people. Plus, the lesson format avoids a ‘preached-at’ feel, allowing facilitators to discuss and learn together with everyone.” — Pastor in Miyazki

  • Built on God’s Powerful Word
“People are saved through the Word. The high-quality questions and clear word explanations at the back make reading and sharing together immensely valuable.” — Pastor in Miyazaki

  • Faith in Action: Miraculous Outreach
    •  “Called seven people, and all seven said yes!” — Pastor in Kanto
    •  “I felt nervous at first, but I called 5 people, and 4 said yes to do a Bible study right away!” — Pastor in Yamagata
